Goody 'pleaded for mercy killing'
Jade Goody pleaded with doctors to help her die after being told her cancer was terminal.
The newly-wed star revealed she begged for a pill or lethal injection to put a stop to her suffering so her two sons could "get on with their lives".
Jade told OK! magazine her immediate reaction to the devastating diagnosis was to "just give up". "I said to my doctors, 'I just want to go now, just give me an injection or a tablet. Let me go and let my kids get on with their lives'," she said.
The 27-year-old married her fiance Jack Tweed in a lavish, star-studded ceremony on Sunday.
Jade, whose cervical cancer has spread to her liver, groin and bowel and has been given just weeks to live, told OK! she was "ready to go to heaven" after tying the knot.
She sold the picture and TV rights to the ceremony for nearly £1 million, and has been open about wanting to exploit media interest in her battle with cancer to make as much money as possible for her sons Bobby, five, and Freddie, four.
She also told the magazine she would use a book on bereavement about a dying badger to prepare her sons for her death.
