Behold: the proof that Bella Hadid and other Instagram supers are not quite as infallible as they seem.

Gigi Hadid, Bella, Kendall Jenner and a host of other models can now command six-figure sums for a single Instagram post. Their styles are copied worldwide and their daily activities set trends for months, such is the extent of their influence. Social media pages are coveted by advertisers all too aware of their power while the Hadid’s form a major component of Taylor Swift’s indomitable squad.

But Hadid’s seemingly effortless poise and grace was interrupted when she fell, quite literally, head over heel on the Michael Kors catwalk at New York Fashion Week.

The model’s tumble was, of course, captured from every possible angle and reproduced in photos, videos and gifs distributed across social media for all to see. But, as some were quick to point out, a catwalk fall certainly did nothing to hurt Naomi Campbell’s career.

Hadid, 19, handled her fall like a pro with an apologetic smile before pulling herself back up and finishing her walk, even referencing the moment later on Instgaram with a video omitting the fall itself.

Take the models out of Instagram and you end up with the proof that they are more like you and me than they might like us to know.
