From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Kim Kardashian has worked as executive producer on a new documentary, which examines how social media can help identify people with mental health problems.
The film, called #RedFlag, was Kardashian's brainchild. It's said that she wants to help educate the public about the prevalence of mental illness.
"I am blessed to be surrounded by family and friends that are loving and nurturing, but not everyone has that kind of support," Kardashian said.
"Twenty five percent of adults in America will suffer from a mental illness in their lifetime, and many of them turn to social media to vent their depression, loneliness, and isolation."
#RedFlag will be followed up by a debrief programme, in which Dr Drew Pinsky will offer his expertise.
Recently, Kardashian has worked to raise awareness of the Armenian genocide. She visited Yerevan with her family to explore her Armenian heritage and raise awareness of the 1.5 million people who were murdered by the Ottoman Turks.
