Julie Burchill pays tribute to her 'beloved' son Jack, who killed himself this week
The columnist confirmed his death on Facebook

Julie Burchill’s son Jack Landesman has died.
The columnist confirmed the sad news in a post paying tribute to her “beloved” son, who she said killed himself earlier this week.
Her short post read: “He is at peace now and in pain no longer and of course I don’t believe that life ends with death, so I am lucky. Look after the people you love, as I tried to and failed.”
Burchill asked to be left alone to grieve, writing: “The love of my friends is a wonderful source of fun in my life, but excuse me if I don't need it right now."
Landesman was the son of her second husband, Cosmo Landesman. He was born in 1986 and was understood to have played bass in a band with his uncle, according to Brighton and Hove news.
Burchill spoke of her relationship with Jack during an interview with the Jewish Chronicle in 2008, describing him as “the apple of my eye, my Achilles heel”.
