Reports said that Los Angeles police responded to a call on Monday night and discovered the body of Cathriona White after being called to the scene by worried friends, sources told the gossip site.
The 28-year-old Irish makeup artist, who had been dating the 53-year-old Carrey on- and off- since 2012, left a note that mentioned the Dumb and Dumber star, who apparently broke up with her again last Thursday, according to the report. Mr Carrey's most recent image on social media was of himself and bore the caption "Grand Central NYC (photo by Cathriona White).
Law enforcement sources are looking at an overdose of drugs as a cause. An officer with the Los Angeles Police Department told Fox411 that it did not provide information about people who had taken their own lives. The coroner's office did not immediatley respond to inquiries.
