Ellie Goulding nearly drowned after car crashed through frozen lake in Norway
The singer and her photographer had to escape through the roof

Ellie Goulding narrowly escaped drowning in a frozen lake in Norway after the belt wagon she was travelling in crashed through ice and sank, almost taking her and another passenger with it.
Photographer Conor McDonnell recounted the dramatic moment he and the "Love Me Like You Do Singer" were forced to clamber out through the roof of the vehicle, before watching helplessly as it disappeared below the water.
McDonnell, who is accompanying Goulding across the European leg of her tour, took a picture of the vehicle partially submerged in the water as it slowly sank, but did not share the image on Instagram for three weeks.
He wrote: “So, me and @elliegoulding weren't going to post about this but we decided that it's too mad of a story not to tell. This photo is from when we were in Norway a few weeks ago.
“That moment when you're in -25C in the middle of nowhere in Norway in the pitch black and your belt wagon crashes through the ice in the middle of a lake and you have to emergency evacuate through the roof.
“Oh s**t we're in” was my first thought. Second was to take photos. We were in the front cabin. That is pretty much under water in this photo. A few minutes later it was all completely gone under the water and ice for good.”
McDonnell has shared a number of pictures of the pair hiking across snowy mountains in Tyin-Filefjell, where temperatures can drop as low as -32C.
