Your support makes all the difference.Another woman has come forward accusing Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump of sexual assault.
Karena Virginia detailed her alleged experience with attorney Gloria Allred at her side at the London hotel in Manhattan Thursday morning.
She is the latest in a string of accusers to come forward following the release of audio that captured Mr Trump bragging about groping and kissing women without their consent. Mr Trump has since vehemently denied the allegations, calling the accusers liars and alleging collusion between the Clinton campaign and the political press.
“In 1998, I was at the US Open tennis tournament in Flushing, Queens ... waiting for a car to arrive,” she said. “As I was waiting, Donald Trump approached me. I knew who he was but I’d never met him. He was with a few other men.
“He said, ‘Hey, look at this one. We haven’t seen her before. Look at those legs’, as though I was an object rather than a person.”
She continued: “He then walked up to me... grabbed my right arm. Then his hand touched the right inside of my breast. I was in shock. I flinched.
“‘Don't you know who I am? Don’t you know who I am?’ That’s what he said to me.”
Ms Virginia said she felt “intimidated” and “powerless” during the alleged encounter – and later she felt ashamed.
She described a business encounter with Mr Trump five years ago, as she felt some feelings of shame, but realised she was the victim in the apparent situation.
“No one has asked me to come forward,” she said, expecting to be called a liar by Mr Trump. “Or perhaps he will label me as just another nasty woman.”
Ms Virginia addressed Mr Trump directly: “Mr Trump, perhaps you do not remember me, or what you did to me so many years ago, but I can assure you that I remember you and what you did to me as though it was yesterday.
“Your random moment of sexual pleasure came at my expense and affected me greatly. Mr Trump revealed his true character in his own words on tape.”
A spokesperson for the Trump campaign denied these latest charges in an emailed statement to The Independent.
"Discredited political operative Gloria Allred, in another coordinated, publicity seeking attack with the Clinton campaign, will stop at nothing to smear Mr Trump," said deputy communications director Jessica Ditto. "Give me a break. Voters are tired of these circus-like antics and reject these fictional stories and the clear efforts to benefit Hillary Clinton."
