Demi Lovato approached designer Jeremy Scott at the Gala while he was posing with Nicki Minaj. Scott had dressed both women for the evening.
Lovato, who was making her Met Gala debut, shared an image of their apparently awkward encounter as the rapper gave the singer what looked like some serious side-eye.
Next to the image, Lovato wrote: "This picture pretty much summed up my first and probably last met #cool #sof**kingawkward #notforme #sweatpants #forensicfiles #whatsgood."
She later added: “PS some of y'all need to learn how to take a joke. I'm obviously laughing at the fact that 1. I look incredibly awkward and 2. That the shade being thrown in this picture actually gives me life.”
Minaj shared her own picture of all three stood together, tagging both Scott and Moschino, but not Lovato. Lovato responded with a few emojis and then turned to Snapchat, writing: “When you aren’t mentioned in a post but didn’t do s**t to a person." She also added a very NSFW video.
Good-natured jibes or the latest celebrity battle? We'll soon find out.
