Daily Show comedian calls men who dropped out of male contraception study over side effects 'little b*****s'

I mean one of the side effects is increased sex drive, men always end up winning. The shot may as well be called ‘More sex, less babies’.”

Michelle Wolf calls out men who quit birth control study

Like the majority of women around the world, the comedian Michelle Wolf has little sympathy with the men in a research study into male contraception who pulled out over its side effects, the participants she calls “little b*****s”.

A male contraceptive jab which lowers sperm count proved 96 per cent effective in a recent study giving hope that the burden of contraception can one day be more evenly spread between genders.

However, the study was halted early after 20 men dropped out after experiencing the side effects of depression and low moods, acne and an increased sex drive.

Mood swings, depression and acne are common side effects of hormone-based contraception used by many women, sparking a debate as to why the trial was ended prematurely when women have experienced these symptoms for years.

Wolf echoed this argument on The Daily Show on Tuesday evening where she explained the side effects sound to her like “day four of a fairytale period”.

“Aww poor men couldn’t complete the birth control study because it gave you pimples and made you moody. You guys call that side effects I call that day four of a fairytale period.

“Men are such little b*****s,” she continues. “I mean one of the side effects is increased sex drive, men always end up winning. The shot may as well be called ‘More sex, less babies’.”

Another side effect of the hormonal contraceptives used by women is a decreased libido.
