16 September: The Princess Royal today visited Hartlepool Marina and was received by Her Majesty's Lord- Lieutenant for Cleveland (the Lord Gisborough).

Lady Carew Pole was in attendance.

ST JAMES'S PALACE

16 September: The Prince of Wales this morning attended the final day of the first annual senior executives' seminar of The Prince of Wales's Business and the Environment Programme at Madingley Hall, Cambridge.

Commander Richard Aylard RN was in attendance.

His Royal Highness, Patron, Music in Country Churches, this evening attended a Concert by the English Chamber Orchestra at the Church of St Mary the Virgin, Berkeley Castle, Gloucestershire.

Major Patrick Tabor was in attendance.

KENSINGTON PALACE

16 September: The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon visited Cambridgeshire and was received on arrival by Her Majesty's Lord- Lieutenant for Cambridgeshire (Mr James Crowden).

His Royal Highness attended a Luncheon to celebrate the 110th Anniversary of the Peterborough Volunteer Fire Brigade and afterwards opened INTERFIRE 1994 at the East of England Showground, Peterborough.

Later The Duke of Gloucester opened the new headquarters of Schmidt UK Limited, Southgate Way, Orton Southgate, Peterborough.

Major Nicholas Barne was in attendance.

YORK HOUSE

16 September: The Duke of Kent, President, the Scout Association, this afternoon received Mr Garth Morrison, Chief Scout, and Sir Geoffrey Mulcahy, Leader, the Scout Business Trust.
