BUCKINGHAM PALACE

12 December: The Queen and The of Edinburgh were present at the Marriage of their daughter, The Princess Royal, with Commander Timothy Laurence RN, which took place in Crathie Parish Church this afternoon.

The Reverend Keith Angus officiated, and Prayers of Blessing were said by the Right Reverend Michael Mann.

Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, The Prince of Wales, The Duke of York, The Prince Edward and The Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon were also present.

The Queen was represented by Sir Isaiah Berlin OM at the Memorial Service for the Lord Franks OM which was held this afternoon in the University Church of St Mary the Virgin, Oxford.

The Duke of Edinburgh was represented by the Lord Porter of Luddenham OM.

KENSINGTON PALACE

13 December: The Prince of Wales, President, the Prince's Trust, attended a Gala Performance of An Evening with Dylan Thomas in aid of the Trust at Lyndhurst Hall, London NW3.

Mr Hugh Merrill was in attendance.

12 December: The Prince of Wales was represented by Sir Nicholas Henderson at the Memorial Service for the Lord Franks OM which was held this afternoon in the University Church of St Mary the Virgin, Oxford.

ROYAL ENGAGEMENTS

The Duke of Edinburgh, President, the Maritime Trust, attends a Dinner on Cutty Sark, Greenwich, London SE18. The Princess of Wales, Patron, The Chicken Shed Theatre Company, attends a Gala Performance at the Place Theatre, London WC1. The Duke of Gloucester, Grand Prior, Order of St John, attends a display to mark the 70th Anniversary of the St John Cadets in Derbyshire and attends a luncheon to mark the culmination of the 'Over to you John' Campaign; visits Hardwick Hall, Doe Lea; and later visits Bolsover Castle, Bolsover, Derbyshire.

Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am.
