14 September: Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester, Colonel- in-Chief, The King's Own Scottish Borderers, was present at a luncheon given by the Trustees of the Regiment at Dryburgh Abbey Hotel, St Boswells, Roxburghshire, Scotland.

Dame Jean Maxwell-Scott was in attendance.
