10 September: The Princess Royal this evening departed from Gatwick Airport for a visit to India and was received at the Airport by His Excellency the Indian High Commissioner (Doctor LM Singhvi).
Mrs David Bowes Lyon and Lieutenant-Colonel Peter Gibbs are in attendance.
KENSINGTON PALACE
10 September: The Princess of Wales, Patron, Turning Point, opened the Griffin Project at Earl's Court, London SW5.
Mr Patrick Jephson was in attendance.
10 September: The Duke of Gloucester, President, the British Consultants Bureau, this morning opened the 'Vietnam - Asia's Next Tiger' Conference at the Headquarters of the Confederation of British Industry, Centre Point, 103 New Oxford Street, London WC1.
In the afternoon The Duke of Gloucester, Grand Prior, the Order of St John, opened the St John Ambulance Buckinghamshire County Headquarters and the Robert Payne Training Centre, Tindal Road, Aylesbury.
Later His Royal Highness opened the Tindal Centre, Bierton Road, Aylesbury.
The Duke of Gloucester was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for Buckinghamshire (Commander the Hon John Freemantle).
Major Nicholas Barne was in attendance.

10 September: The Duke of Kent, President of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, this morning opened West Mersea Boathouse, Essex, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for Essex (the Lord Braybrooke).
Captain the Hon Tom Coke was in attendance.

10 September: Princess Alexandra and Sir Angus Ogilvy this afternoon visited the Leukaemia and Cancer Children's Fund Buchanan House of Recovery at Rattray, Blairgowrie, and were received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for Perthshire (Major Sir David Butter).
