26 March: The Duke of Edinburgh arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, this evening from the United States of America.

Mr Brian McGrath, Brigadier Miles Hunt-Davis and Wing Commander Christopher Moran RAF were in attendance.

26 March: The Princess Royal, Honorary President, Chartered Institute of Transport, this morning attended the 'Transport for Sustainable and Green Tourism' Seminar, North Warehouse, the Docks, Gloucester, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for Gloucestershire (Mr Harry Elwes).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, the Butler Trust, this afternoon visited Her Majesty's Prison Gloucester and was received by Lieutenant-Colonel Richard Coxwell-Rogers (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire).

Mrs William Nunneley was in attendance.

ST JAMES'S PALACE

26 March: The Prince of Wales today visited Stornoway and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for the Western Isles (the Earl Granville).

His Royal Highness this morning opened the new Western Isles Hospital.

The Prince of Wales this afternoon opened Grampian Television's new studio.

His Royal Highness later addressed the Scottish Crofters Union Annual Conference at Stornoway Town Hall.

Commander Richard Aylard RN was in attendance.

KENSINGTON PALACE

26 March: The Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon, Patron, the Bristol Royal Society for the Blind, this afternoon opened the Society's new Centre in Bedminster, Bristol.

Her Royal Highness was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for the County of Avon (Sir John Wills Bt).

Lady Aird was in attendance.

ROYAL ENGAGEMENTS

The Duke of Edinburgh, President of the Royal Air Forces Association, tomorrow attends the Association's Annual Service at St Clement Danes Church, London WC2; and later attends a Reception at the Law Courts. Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester, Vice-Patron, Royal Air Forces Association, tomorrow attends the Annual Service of the Association at St Clement Danes Church, London WC2.

Changing of the Guard

TODAY: The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Coldstream Guards. TOMORROW: The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 10am.
