24 January: Divine Service was held in St Lawrence Parish Church, Castle Rising, this morning.

The Right Reverend Michael Marshall, Adviser in Evangelism to the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, preached the Sermon.

The Lady Angela Oswald was received by The Queen when Her Majesty invested her with the Insignia of a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order.

By command of The Queen, the Viscount Goschen (Lord-in-Waiting) was present at Gatwick Airport, London, this morning upon the Departure of the Governor-General of Antigua and Lady Jacobs and bade farewell to Their Excellencies on behalf of Her Majesty.

ROYAL ENGAGEMENTS

The Princess Royal, Commandant-in-Chief, St John Ambulance and Nursing Cadets, opens the Bridgnorth Quadrilateral Division Headquarters, Bridgnorth, Shropshire; opens a new housing development at Buckness for South Shropshire Housing Association; as President, British Knitting and Clothing Export Council, visits Bairdwear, Telford, Shropshire; and as Patron, Sense, the National Deaf-Blind and Rubella Association, visits Vision Homes, Ludlow, Shropshire. The Duchess of Kent, Patron, St George's Hospital, opens its Magnetic Resonance Imaging Unit, Blackshaw Road, London SW17.

Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am.
