6 October: The Prince Edward, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, today gave a Luncheon at Buckingham Palace.
His Royal Highness, Patron, this evening attended the Royal Exchange Theatre Company's production of Julius Caesar at the Royal Exchange Theatre, St Anne's Square, Manchester, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for Greater Manchester (Colonel John Timmins).
Lieutenant-Colonel Sean O'Dwyer was in attendance.
6 October: The Princess Royal, President of the Patrons, Crime Concern, this afternoon attended a meeting of the Children and Young Persons' Special Interest Group of Grant-giving Trust at the Thomas Coram Foundation, 40 Brunswick Square, London WC1.
Her Royal Highness, President, The Princess Royal Trust for Carers, this evening attended a Dinner at Post Office Headquarters, 148 Old Street, London EC1.

6 October: The Prince of Wales was represented by the Earl of Shelburne at the Memorial Service for the Hon Mrs Shand which was held in St Paul's Church, Knightsbridge, Wilton Place, London SW1, today.

6 October: The Duchess of Gloucester today presented Awards at the 1994 Midland Diamonds Luncheon at the Grand Hotel, Birmingham and was received on arrival by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for the West Midlands (Mr Robert Taylor).

The Princess Royal, President, Riding for the Disabled Association, attends a Council Meeting and the launch of the Silver Jubilee Year for the Riding for the Disabled Association at Saddlers' Hall, London EC2.

The Queen's Gallery at Buckingham Palace opens between 10am and 5pm, and last admission is at 4.30pm.
Changing of the Guard
The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; The Royal Logistics Corps mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Scots Guards.
Windsor Castle
The Precincts and State Apartments at Windsor Castle open 10am-5pm.
