By command of The Queen, the Viscount Long (Lord-in-Waiting) was present at Heathrow Airport, London, this evening upon the Arrival of The President of the Republic of Albania, and welcomed His Excellency on behalf of Her Majesty.
27 March: The Princess Royal this morning arrived at Gatwick Airport, London, from Atlanta, Georgia, United States of America.
Mrs Timothy Holderness- Roddam was in attendance.
KENSINGTON PALACE
26 March: The Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon, was present this evening at a Fiddlers Rally held at the City Hall, Candleriggs, Glasgow, in aid of Tenovus-
Scotland, of which Her Royal Highness is Patron.
The Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon was received by Councillor Robert Gray (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Glasgow).
Lady Aird was in attendance.
26 March: The Duke of Gloucester, Colonel-in-Chief, the Gloucestershire Regiment, accompanied by The Duchess of Gloucester, today visited Gloucester and was received on arrival by Her Majesty's Lord- Lieutenant for Gloucestershire (Mr Henry Elwes).
Their Royal Hignesses were present at a Luncheon at Royal Air Force Innsworth and later attended a Service of Thanksgiving for the Regiment in Gloucester Cathedral.
The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester witnessed a March Past at Guildhall. Afterwards His Royal Highness took the Salute at the Farewell Parade of the Gloucestershire Regiment and subsequently Their Royal Highnesses were present at a Regimental Reception at North Warehouse, the Docks.
Miss Suzanne Marland and Major Nicolas Barne were in attendance.
ROYAL ENGAGEMENTS
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh give a reception this evening for the winners of The Queen's Awards for Export, Technological and Environmental Achievement. The Duke of Edinburgh, as Honorary Member, addresses a Luncheon Meeting of the Rotary Club of London, at the London Marriott Hotel, London W1. The Prince of Wales, Patron, English Chamber Orchestra and Music Society, attends a concert followed by dinner at St James's Palace. The Princess Royal, Patron, Northern Lighthouse Board, visits MV Pharos and takes lunch with the Commissioners, at Leith Harbour, Edinburgh; and this afternoon, as Patron, Animal Diseases Research Association, visits Moredun Research Institute, Edinburgh.
