ST JAMES'S PALACE

9 March: The Prince of Wales this afternoon opened the new Magnetic Resonance Imaging Unit at the Royal Naval Hospital, Haslar, Hampshire.

Major Patrick Tabor was in attendance.

His Royal Highness later attended the Royal Hospital and Home, Putney, London SW15.

Miss Belinda Harley was in attendance.

The Prince of Wales, Colonel-in- Chief, The Royal Canadian Dragoons, subsequently received Major-General Clive Milner upon assuming the appointment of Colonel of the Regiment at St James's Palace.

His Royal Highness this evening attended a Reception to mark the Eight Hundredth Anniversary of the Service of Coroners to the Crown at St James's Palace.

YORK HOUSE

9 March: The Duke of Kent, Field Marshal, this afternoon arrived at RAF Northolt from Germany.

Captain Alexander Tetley was in attendance.

ROYAL ENGAGEMENTS

The Prince of Wales visits the National Criminal Intelligence Service, London SE11; and attends a 50th Birthday Concert for Dame Kiri Te Kanawa at the Royal Albert Hall, London SW7. The Duke of Kent, Patron, visits Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum, Wimbledon, London SW19. Princess Alexandra, Patron, opens the new extensions to the Central School of Speech and Drama, Embassy Theatre, London NW3.

The Queen's Gallery

The Queen's Gallery opens between 10am and 5pm.

Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am.
