The Reverend Alastair Symington preached the sermon.

By command of The Queen, Major- General Sir Philip Ward (Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for West Sussex) was present at Gatwick Airport, London, this morning upon the Departure of the Governor-General of St Lucia and Lady James and bade farewell to Their Excellencies on behalf of Her Majesty.

27 August: The Lady Margaret Colville has succeeded Dame Frances Campbell-Preston as Lady-in-Waiting to Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother.

Buckingham Palace

The State Apartments at Buckingham Palace open between 9.30am and 4.30pm. The Queen's Gallery opens between 2pm and 5pm, and last admission is at 4.30pm.

Changing of the Guard

The Kings Troop Royal Horse Artillery mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am.

Windsor Castle

The Precincts and State Apartments at Windsor Castle open 10am-6pm.
