The following appointments have been announced by the Church of England:

The Rev Michael Broadbent, Rector, Middleham with Coverdale and East Witton, and Rural Dean of Wensley: to be Priest-in-charge, Starkforth with Bowes and Rokeby with Brignall (Ripon).

The Rev Ivor Hughes, formerly Team Rector, Chirton, Marden, Patney, Stert, Urchfont and Wilsford (Salisbury): already appointed Children's Officer to the Board of Education, Church House, Westminster.

The Rev Malcolm Johnson, Rector, St Botolph, Aldgate: to be Master of the Royal Foundation of St Katharine, Butcher Row, Stepney (London).

The Rev Derek Palmer, Rector, the Dronfield with Holmesfield Team Ministry: to be also an Honorary Canon of Derby Cathedral (Derby).

The Rev Frank Scammell, Team Vicar, Swanage and Studland (Salisbury): to be Priest-in-charge, Southgate Ecumenical Project, in the parish of St Mary's, Bury St Edmunds (St Edmundsbury and Ipswich).

The Rev Nigel Stone, Priest-in-charge, St Paul, Brixton: to be Vicar, St Paul, Brixton (Southwark).

The Rev Jean Wadsworth, Parish Deacon, Thamesmead Team Ministry: to be Parish Deacon, Holy Trinity, Rotherhithe (Southwark).
