Calvin Harris has accused Taylor Swift and her team of trying to “make him look bad” after it emerged she had co-written his new song under a pseudonym.
A series of tweets were posted on the DJ’s account in response to Swift confirming she was a writer on the Harris and Rihanna hit 'This Is What You Came For’ through a representative.
Swift’s representative said the 26-year-old is listed as a co-writer under a Swedish alias: “Taylor Swift wrote “This Is What You Came For” under the pseudonym Nils Sjoberg.”
Harris, who was in a relationship with Swift until their split at the end of May, responded to articles about the revelation on Twitter.
“I wrote the music, produced the song, arranged it and cut the vocals though. And initially she wanted it kept secret, hence the pseudonym,” he wrote.
“Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though.
“I figure if you're happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do.
“I know you're off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I'm not that guy, sorry. I won't allow it.”
A representative for Swift did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
