His Honour Judge Michael Alexander Geddes Sachs, His Honour Judge Stephen George Mitchell QC, and Mr Rodger Bell QC, to be Justices of the High Court.

Mr Richard James Savage, to be joint district judge for the district of the Birmingham County Court, and in the District Registry of the High Court at Birmingham.

Mr AE Furness, Ambassador designate at Dakar, to be additionally Ambassador (non-resident) to the Republic of Mali.

Sir Peter Hall, to be Ambassador to the Argentine Republic in succession to the Hon Sir Humphrey Maud.
