A Los Angeles coroner has ruled Amber Rayne died of an accidental overdose of cocaine.

The Detroit-born adult film actress, 31, collapsed in her apartment in Sun Valley on 2 April. Her death was reported as a possible overdose a week later but delays in toxicology results meant her cause of death was only officially confirmed on Friday, according to the LA Times.

The cause was listed as accidental cocaine intoxication on the Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner’s website.

Rayne, real name Meghan Wren, launched her porn career in 2005 and retiring in 2015. She cited dressage riding and music as two of her passions on her social media pages.

Her passing was marked by an outpouring of tributes from members of the adult film industry.
