Pensioner saved by police sausages

Police armed with fried pork sausages rescued a pensioner, Mr Ray Turnbull, and his dog after they were cornered yesterday by two Rottweilers in an allotment hut at Blackhall, Co Durham. An officer grabbed the sausages from the nearby Peterlee police canteen, laid them in a trail and lured the dogs into his van.
