LANDLORDS WHO install potentially lethal gas appliances should face tougher penalties, Labour backbenchers demanded.

Fraser Kemp, the MP for Houghton and Washington East, introduced a Fuel Safety Bill aimed at preventing carbon monoxide poisoning, caused by leaking gas fumes.
