Obituary: Professor Richard Ross
Professor Richard Ross, economist, died 21 February, aged 71. The first Professor of Economics at the University of East Anglia (1963- 68); Deputy Secretary to the Central Policy Review Staff, 1971-78; vice- president of the European Investment Bank 1978-89.
Gert Myburgh, politician, died Cape Town 11 March, aged 56. South African member of parliament (National Party) since 1977, Deputy Minister of Law and Order under the last apartheid government (1992-94) and Deputy Justice Minister since 1994.
