Detectives seeking the killer of Naomi Smith said they were studying new evidence that emerged as a result of last week's raids after which a number of people were questioned.
Four men who were arrested last week were released without charge. A fifth man, 24, questioned about the death of Naomi, 15, who was found stabbed and sexually mutilated in a playground near her home near Nuneaton, Warwickshire, on 14 September, was charged with grievous bodily harm, serious sexual assault and three other assaults, none of which related to Naomi's death. He appears before magistrates today.
