Media Update: Disappearing act

EARLIER this year, the BBC announced that Robin Oakley of the Times would be taking over the highly coveted position of political editor from John Cole, who is retiring. But night after night, the tireless Cole continues to pop up at the party conferences. The BBC says that Oakley is learning the broadcasting ropes and will make his small screen debut after the conferences.
