"#sheprobablyahoe," "PleaseExplainWhy" and "imnotsaying" are terms that have risen to popularity on Twitter at 9:30 AM GMT.

Miep Gies, the woman who helped Anne Frank and her family when they were hiding from Nazi occupiers of the Netherlands and who kept her diary safe after they were discovered has passed away at the age of 100.

Twitter users are spreading the news of her death via the microblogging network and using their tweets to applaud Gies's efforts to help Anne Frank and her family.
