(Relaxnews) -

Twitter users are busy recommending bands and musicians to their friends and followers on Monday, October 5, following the weekly "#musicmonday" trend and driving the term into the 10 most talked about topics on Twitter.

The 1997 movie Titanic aired on Sunday, October 4 on American TV station TNT. Americans using Twitter started tweeting that they were watching the film on TV, driving the term into Twitter's most talked about topics.

Shortly after watching the movie, people on Twitter started tweeting and retweeting, "Rename your ipod #Titanic . When you plug it to your comp[uter], you get the message 'Titanic is syncing.'" The high number of people retweeting the message to their friends has helped keep the topic "Titanic" in the list of hottest trending topics on Twitter on October 5.
