The name of the next film in the Harry Potter series, " Deathly Hallows," has slid into the top spot on Twitter's trending topics on July 1 at 10:30 AM GST.
Roy Hodgson has been named the manager of English football club Liverpool, and people on Twitter have taken to their accounts to talk about his managing style. "Roy Hodgson" is second on the list of trending topics.
The name of action-adventure fantasy film the " Last Airbender" moves up one spot to third place and is followed by the memes "#failedpornotitles" and "#mydream" in fourth and fifth places.
Korean boy band leader Park Jung-su aka "Teukie" or "Leeteuk" celebrates his birthday on July 1. Fans are sending their birthday messages via Twitter pushing "Teukie" into sixth place and "Leeteuk" into tenth place.
The World Cup is a constant source of chatter on Twitter at the moment: "#worldcup" moves up two places to number seven. The Wimbledon tennis tournament is also generating buzz on the social networking service with"Wimbledon" is trending in eighth place.
