The TV series Glee is the most talked about topic on the microblogging site Twitter on the morning of October 8.

The show aired on American TV on Wednesday night and people on Twitter are talking about how good the episode was. Tweets are mostly originating from users in America and Australia (where the show is currently on air).

Research In Motion, maker of the popular BlackBerry brand of mobile phones, announced the official arrival of its BlackBerry Messenger 5.0.0.33 on October 7. Some Twitter users are reporting that they had downloaded a leaked version of the software when it appeared on the internet months ago while others are encouraging their friends and followers to download the official version of the software.

The official version, that can be downloaded from www.blackberry.com/messenger, appears to be much more stable and offers BlackBerry users instant messaging capabilities, enhanced SMS, and mobile-to-mobile communications in real-time.

Halloween planning is already underway on Twitter with people using their 140 characters to talk about what they will do on the night of October 31.

Tweets about Halloween include, "Donnie Darko is now my new favorite movie. I'm going to get the bunny suit from the movie for halloween", "For Halloween I'm dressing up as kanye. Then when I kid walks past I'm going to jump out and yell. "Christmas is better" and "getting HYPED for #halloween! I haven't dressed up since elementary!"
