Microbloggers are using the term "Lee DeWyze won" to congratulate the singing sensation on his win. "American Idol" is also in the charts, measuring in at number eight.
The memes "#yougottaloveitwhen," "#togetwithme" and "#trespalabrasduranteelsexo" (Spanish for "three words during sex") are in second, third and fourth places respectively.
People are using the social network to post micro-reviews of the new chick flick, Sex and the City 2.
"My review of SATC2. These people make my skin crawl," "Sex and the City 2: Most Disappointing Movie of My Life," "'Amounts to little more than a two-and-a-half-hour plot-less fashion show' - why is that a bad review for satc2?! that's exactly what i want!!" and " I thoroughly enjoyed Sex and the City 2 - probably even more than the first one, and I love THAT one a LOT!" say people using the "SATC2" acronym.
"Oil Spill" moves up one place to number six while "Persia" (short for the Prince of Persia movie featuring Jake Gyllenhaal) has moved up two places to number seven.
On Monday, May 31 many people in the US and UK have a long weekend. In the UK people will be celebrating Spring Bank Holiday while in the US the date marks Memorial Day. Twitter users have pushed "Long Weekend" into the ninth spot on the charts as they discuss their plans for the day.
In tenth place is "Goedemorgen", the Dutch word for "Good Morning."
