The name of goth-metal singer and bassist Peter Steele is the top trending topic on Google Insights on April 19.

The 48-year-old musician passed away on April 14 due to suspected heart failure.

Searches for the hit TV series Glee have risen by more than 120 percent over the last seven days, putting the term in second place on Google Insights. People across the globe have been searching for information on the show's April 13 return to TV after a four-month hiatus.

The name of American "tax preparation" software, "Turbotax" is in position number three on the charts. April 15 was the USA's deadline for filing a tax return. At number four is "ANSA" (Agenzia Nazionale Stampa Associata), Italy's leading news agency.

People in France have been typing "You Tubes" into their search engine, presumably hoping to reach the popular video hosting site "YouTube." Searches for "You Tubes" have risen by 60 percent over the week putting the term in fifth place.

British news services "Sky News" and "BBC News" are in sixth and seventh place respectively, followed by the name of low-cost airline company "RyanAir."

The name of American long-distance runner "Meb Keflezighi" aka "Meb" measures in at number nine. The Spanish word for "weather" (and "time"), "El Tiempo" is in tenth place.

The search terms with the most significant growth worldwide in the last seven days as measured by Google Insights, recorded on April 19 at 10:30 AM GMT are:

4. ansa (+70%) (Agenzia Nazionale Stampa Associata in Italian)
5. you tubes (+60%)
6. sky news (+60%)
7. bbc news (+50%)

10. el tiempo (+40%) (Spanish for "weather")

*Breakout defines a search term that has experienced a change in growth greater than 5000 percent.
