Your support makes all the difference.Hungary gave an overwhelming "yes" vote in a referendum on yesterday on joining Nato, the National Election Centre reported.
With almost 75 per cent of the vote tallied last night, the National Election Centre's Web page showed 2,403,914 million in favour of joining the Western military alliance and 411,698 opposed.
Meanwhile, US Republican Senator Robert Dole assured Poles yesterday that their bid for Nato membership would be approved by the US Senate next year. He said that 85 to 90 senators were likely to vote next year for the admission of Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic.
