From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. The WWE Universe was left in shock when D-Generation X returned to help out their leader Triple H in his battle with Sting at WrestleMania 31.
However, no one in the Levi's Stadium in California, or indeed watching at home, was prepared for what happened next, as the famous NWO music suddenly broke out as Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall made their way down to the ring.
Despite their previous battles with Sting, the trio were there to help their former WCW cohort, and what can only be described as chaos broke out as each member took their turn to have an impact on the match up.
Billu Gunn, Road Dogg and X-Pac managed to get the upper hand and armed The Game with a sledgehammer, only for Hall to hand Sting his trusty baseball bat to return fire.
With Sting on the up, it suddenly appeared he was on the verge of victory, only for Shawn Michaels to return and deliver Sweet Chin Music to the Stinger.
It was left to the King of Kings to level Sting with the sledgehammer head and earn brilliant victory, and fittingly the two groups came together after the bell, with Triple H offering his hand in respect of Sting, perhaps ending his short reign in the WWE.
