Your support makes all the difference.Two leading members of the fundamental Islamic group blamed for the Luxor massacre were yesterday sentenced to death by an Egyptian court.
Taha Abdel Razek, 23, and Dr Gamal Abu Rawash, 32, were convicted of heading factions of the Gama'a al-Islamiya (Islamic Group) and plotting to kill state officials. They were among a group of 66 defendants belonging to the Gama'a, which is trying to transform Egypt into a purist Islamic state. A total of 58 tourists and four Egyptians were murdered in November.
