It’s been a busy few weeks for bankers and analysts covering media and telecoms, with BT holding talks with the owners of EE and 02 and Vodafone linked with a £80bn bid for Liberty Global.
Today it was the turn of Sky to take the spotlight as it added about £800 million to its coffers for Premier League rights and a potential swoop for a mobile operator by selling its Sky Bet online gaming business.
