Search for the fast growers
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Search for the fast growers
The search is on for Britain's fastest-growing privately-owned companies. For the eighth consecutive year, the Independent on Sunday is joining forces with Price Waterhouse, the leading accountancy firm, to prepare the definitive guide to owner-managed unquoted companies. Among the companies identified by The Independent 100 and since floated on the stock market are Stagecoach, the bus and train operator; JD Wetherspoon, the pubs group; Groupe Chez Gerard, the restaurants chain and Majestic Wine.
If you run an unquoted company based and incorporated in the UK and have seen rapid growth over the past five years, you could be eligible to join them. To take part, contact Julie Harwood at Price Waterhouse for an application form. The address for forms and for entries, which must be returned by Friday 27 February, is: Independent 100, Price Waterhouse, Southwark Towers, 32 London Bridge Street, London SE1 9SY.
