Satellite launch

LUXEMBOURG-BASED Societe Europeenne des Satellites (SES) is to launch its Astra 2A satellite on 30 August from Kazakhstan.

The satellite will distribute digital satellite services to the UK and Ireland. Customers include the BBC, BSkyB, Flextech, Discovery, UKTV, Turner Broadcasting and Viacom.
