POWERSCREEN INTERNATIONAL, the machinery manufacturer with factories in Northern Ireland and the West Midlands, has appointed Brian Kearney as chief executive. His appointment completes the management restructuring, the chairman John Craig said yesterday.

Mr Kearney joined the company in April and had been acting as finance director. He joined the board in July. Powerscreen shares, which collapsed from 676p a year ago to 46.5p in June, rallied 7.5p to 118p yesterday.
