Oftel set to force sharing plan on BT

Oftel, the telecommunications watchdog, may force BT to share its underground ducts and its poles. The move, which BT has always resisted in the past, would be the latest attempt to enable more competiton in the marketplace. The regulator said sharing may help where there is limited access to customers' sites.
