Weir takes top City job
Barry Weir, one of JPMorgan Cazenove's top deal makers, is set to replace Ian Hannam, the banker known as the "king of mining", as chairman of equity capital markets at the investment bank.
Mr Hannam is stepping down while he fights market abuse charges and a £450,000 fine levied by the City watchdog for passing on inside information about one of his clients. Mr Weir was made head of mergers and acquisitions at JPMorgan Cazenove in 2008.
