IAG (aka British Airways) makes market debut
British Airways embarked on a new stock-market journey yesterday following its merger with Spain's Iberia. The new group's chief executive, Willie Walsh, and chairman, Antonio Vazquez, were present at the London Stock Exchange for the debut of International Consolidated Airlines Group (IAG).
The shares ended the day up 0.9 per cent at 285p in London. They were also admitted to Spanish exchanges in Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao and Valencia.
