McKechnie may quit Australia

MCKECHNIE, the specialist engineering group, is considering selling its Australian consumer products division and specialist metals arm as part of an ongoing review of the business. The group said it had the "financial headroom" to spend up to pounds 100m on bolt-on acquisitions in its chosen areas of specialist fasteners and engineering plastics.
