SHAREHOLDERS IN Ladbroke yesterday voted in favour of changing the name of the company to Hilton. The change will become effective on Monday. The move follows the pounds 1.5bn takeover of Stakis in March, a deal which will see the Stakis hotels rebranded under the Hilton banner. At Ladbroke's annual meeting yesterday, Peter George, chief executive (pictured), put 13 hotels up for sale in a move expected to raise around pounds 150m. The hotels include three operating under the Hilton name, including one in Regent's Park, London.
