Lloyd's post goes to Powell

The Lloyd's Corporate Capital Association said it had appointed Val Powell as its first full-time director-general from September 1995. An underwriting member of Lloyd's since 1986, Mr Powell served as chief executive of the Association of Lloyd's Members from 1990 to 1995.
