Idaho gives boost to ScottishPower

SCOTTISHPOWER'S pounds 4bn takeover of PacifiCorp received a boost yesterday after the public utility commission in the state of Idaho recommended that the deal be approved. Regulators in Oregon have called for the rejection of the deal while commissioners in four other states have yet to give a recommendation. ScottishPower said it remained confident of getting final approval this autumn.
