Glenmorangie yesterday announced an 8 per cent rise in pre- tax profits to pounds 8.4m for the year to March. It also unveiled plans to push ahead with expansion in China, where the group holds the only official licence to sell spirits, and to continue its strategy of investing heavily in its premium malt brands.
