AAH Holdings, the drugs wholesaler, tabled a Ir pounds 24.9m agreed bid for Cahill May Roberts Group, the wholesaler quoted on the Dublin stock exchange and the London USM. The offer is 10 new AAH shares for every 51 ordinary CMRG shares. AAH is offering a cash alternative of Ir87p per CMRG share.

European Fire Protection, the largest shareholder in Andrew Sykes Group with 26.6 per cent, has asked for an extraordinary shareholders' meeting for October 16 to put four of its appointees on the board and vote off David Hubbard and David Crowe. EFP said it aims to reverse the decline of Andrew Sykes and maximise its value for all shareholders.

Cornwell Parker, the furniture and fabrics group, lifted pre-tax profits to pounds 8.3m ( pounds 8m) in the year to 31 July. A 3 per cent fall in sales to pounds 90m was offset by a sharp fall in interest charges from pounds 543,000 to pounds 29,000. Final dividend is raised to 4p (3.9p), making 5.7p (5.5p).

Time Products, the watch and jewellery group, improved pre-tax profits from pounds 3m to pounds 3.9m in the six months to 31 July. Interim dividend is raised to 2.75p (2.65p).

Palmerston Holdings incurred pounds 5.5m ( pounds 2.7m) pre-tax loss in the year to 31 March, hit by a pounds 6.2m exceptional charge. No dividend.

Year to 30 June

Frogmore Estates, the property developer and trader, increased pre-tax profits to pounds 9.7m ( pounds 7.1m), helped by a 41 per cent rise in rental income to pounds 18.2m. Final dividend is 11.6p, making 15p (13.8p).

Eleco Holdings fell to pounds 1.6m ( pounds 3.35m). Final dividend is 1p, making 3.3p (4.6p).

Pict Petroleum fell to pounds 3m ( pounds 4.6m) pre-tax profit.

A Beckman fell to pounds 903,000 ( pounds 1.1m) pre-tax proifit. Final is 3.15p, making 4.78p (same).

Half year to 30 June

Anglo-Eastern Plantations boosted pre-tax profits from pounds 106,000 to pounds 530,000. Interim dividend is 0.375p.

Densitron International fell to pounds 370,000 ( pounds 401,000) pre-tax profit. Interim dividend is 0.4p.

Asda Property Holdings made pre-tax profits of pounds 1.6m ( pounds 1.4m). Interim dividend is held at 0.65p.
